Spanish Lake Homes

Spanish Lake: Spanish Lake is a city of 19,500 people, bounded by the Missouri and Mississippi River’s, and Highway 367 and Interstate 270. The area dates back to 1768, when it was used as a town for Spanish troops while they built a nearby fort, and later became a farming village for the fort. By 1870, German immigrants had primarily taken over the area, and by the 1950s, the town had become a rural refuge for those fleeing from Pruitt-Igoe housing in St. Louis. Today, the area shows its mixed cultural and historical background.
